Straightness Perception Mechanism of Scraper Conveyor Based on the Three-Dimensional Curvature Sensing of FBG

In order to solve the key technical problem of accurate perception straightness a scraper conveyor in intelligent mining coal mines, three-dimensional (3D) curvature sensor fiber Bragg grating (FBG) is designed and developed based on sensing principle FBG. The string embedded FBG simulated under radius 100 m, 200 300 400 m 500 m. results show that strain built-in linearly related at bend string. simulation are consistent with theoretical results, which verifies rationality design. Based discrete information obtained by 3D FBG, curve reconstruction algorithm derived using method fitting recursion, bending shape realized. A test platform for set up. measuring effect perceived actual straight states verified. measured basically same as perceptual configuration conveyor, error direction each coordinate axis not more than ±15 mm, can meet requirements accuracy detecting work.
